JUMP CUT - Independent Film Festival Curated by Youth, For All Filmholics

A WARM WELCOME TO OUR VERY FIRST JUMP CUT YOUTH COMMITEE!

Launching this April, JUMP CUT is Hong Kong's very first youth-run independent film festival, aimed at nurturing the next generation of filmmakers and a new audience for independent film. Last November, after receiving tons of video applications in response to our committee call, we welcomed in our very first JUMP CUT youth committee: a group of local teens who are passionate about independent films and are keen to share their enthusiasm with a wider audience.

Guided by project mentor Felix Tsang, Acquisitions Manager of Golden Scene Co. Ltd, our youth committee meets every week to prepare for JUMP CUT. Besides curating the programme, inviting guest speakers, planning screenings and writing reviews, the committee will also collaborate with some of Hong Kong’s top film professionals to organise various workshops, bringing you the finest in independent film.
